The Hindi Cell at IIT Bombay organised 'Hindi Pakhawada' during September 1-14, 2019. The celebrations included competitions like Essay writing and Hindi translation. The programme aimed at encouraging the staff members to use Hindi in the official work.
The prize distribution function to felicitate the winners of the competitions was organized on September 13, 2019. Prof. Sunita Sakhare, Head of Hindi Department, S.N.D.T was the Chief Guest on the occasion and elaborated the importance of Hindi as an official language of the nation.
Hindi Officer Ms. Vaishali Bahulkar presented a brief Report of Implementation of Hindi in the Institute, objective of Official Language Implementation Committee of the Institute, participation of Institute staff in Hindi training typing, basic computer training in Hindi, ‘Parangant’ programme etc.
The certificates were presented by the chief guest Prof. Sunita Sakhare,and Prof. A.K. Suresh, Deputy Director (AIA) to the winners in the various competitions. The vote of thanks was delivered by Hindi Officer Ms. Vaishali Bahulkar.

Hindi book exhibition was also organized in the Central Library during September 12-13, 2019 to encourage all the staff and students to read Hindi Books.The inauguration function was held on September 11, 2019. Publications Vasundhara, Paridrisha and Sahitya Sanskarmala Sahitya were displayed in the exhibition.
